At Dollar for Teen, we envision empowering teenage youth by providing them with opportunities to explore their passions and interests before making career decisions, fostering a generation of informed, confident, and fulfilled professionals.
Dollar for Teen was created to bridge the gap between teenage students and the professional world. Founder Shraddha Manjunath recognized the lack of real-world opportunities for teens to explore their passions and build essential skills. Dollar for Teen empowers teenagers by offering internships, networking, and practical experiences that help them make informed career choices, develop confidence, and gain valuable insights into their future professions.
Hi, I’m Shraddha Manjunath.
When I was 12, I jokingly told my parents that by 14, I’d be earning my own money working at a café. I even teased, “Dad, you won’t need to pay for my dresses anymore!” What started as a playful comment turned into a serious vision after the COVID wave, thanks to my parents’ encouragement to help other teens like me.
As I delved into this idea, I was struck by a harsh reality: our society often frowns upon teenagers working, believing they should solely focus on academics and exams like JEE or NEET. But what about those who don’t want that path, don’t get selected, or simply haven’t figured it out yet? So much talent is left untapped, lacking real-world skills and opportunities.
That’s why I founded DollarforTeen. Our platform offers internships and externships, connecting teens with professionals, businesses, artists, and startups. We want to help teenagers have a glimpse of their interested field, discover their strengths, build practical skills, and pursue their own passions.
By empowering teenagers financially and providing real-world experiences, we boost their confidence, leadership, and independence. Many teens are caught in the rat race, unsure of their future.
Dollar for Teen is here to change that, offering a pathway to a fulfilling and successful life.
Warm regards,
Shraddha Manjunath
